Alright all you hardcore doctor who fans, which audio dramas do you recommend?
I’ve listened to some eighth doctor ones and they’re brilliant!
So?Chimes of Midnight (Eight and Charley) and The Holy Terror (Six and Frobisher) are two of my favorites (and they’re…
Phantasmagoria and Loup-Garoux are two of my favorite 5 and Turlough adventures! Also Whispers of Terror (7 and Ace) is disturbing and Thatchery and great.
Avoid story arcs, plays which introduce new companions are good. My first stories were Cobwebs, The Holy Terror, and Omega and all three were very good but a little confusing if you’re not a seasoned time traveller.

It is important you don’t turn it into a fanfest. We can’t make this all about looking backwards.
Moffat on not having any Classic Who Doctors on the 50th anniversary special. (X)

Amazing to see everything on sale but 10 per cent is not enough to tempt me at this moment in time. Signal boost.
For anyone who didn’t see it, let me tell you.
The Doctor’s a time traveler. He brought Vincent Van Gogh (who was severely depressed and lost hope in his ability and himself) to the future, to a museum where they are celebrating his art.
I don’t know if any of you are artists (drawing, writing, whatever), but being a writer, this scene moved me to tears. You’re your own worst critic, and feel like your stuff is complete shit sometimes…maybe even to the level of despair like Van Gogh. But imagine someone brought you to a world where people love and appreciate your art. Or it means something so special to them. The thought of it is overwhelming.
I just about died
I’m crying right now not even kidding.

I’ve heard Transit to Venus, Freakshow, and the Mahogany Murders and they were all very good, especially the Mahogany Murders if you like that sort of stuff.

Big Finish ♥ New Who
Nicholas Briggs, best known as the voice of the Daleks, Cybermen, Judoon, and other aliens in the new series, is one of the executive producers of Big Finish Productions, where he has been a writer, director, actor (he continues to play the Daleks and Cybermen, along with the Ice Warriors and other small roles), composer, and/or sound designer for many plays. He will be the writer, director, and executive producer of BF’s 50th Anniversary play, The Light at the End.
Big Finish ♥ New Who

He wrote two plays, Phantasmagoria and Invaders from Mars, and acted in several more stories, including a turn as the Master in the Doctor Who Unbound story Sympathy for the Devil.
Big Finish ♥ New Who
In between playing Tom Campbell in Daleks - Invasion Earth: 2150 and Donna’s grandfather/Tenth Doctor companion Wilfred Mott, Bernard Cribbins appeared as music producer Arnold Korns in the Eighth Doctor audio Horror of Glam Rock.
Big Finish ♥ New Who
Some of the actresses who have played notable roles in both New Who and Big Finish audios include Anna Hope (Novice Hame in “New Earth” and “Gridlock” and DI Patricia Menzies in three Big Finish audios), Lenora Crichlow (Cheen in “Gridlock” and the Seventh Doctor’s companion, Rachel Cooper, in The Architects of History), and Raquel Cassidy (Miranda Cleaves in “The Rebel Flesh”/”The Almost People” and roles in several Big Finish audios, most recently Dr. Alison Foster in the Fourth Doctor audio Destination: Nerva).
timelords are reknowned for their fashion sense. some, as a defence, swathe themselves in bright red robes, to camoflage themselves with their natural environment. Their massive collars as well, serve the purpose of scaring off larger enemies and attracting mates. Outside of their natural environments however, they are often awkward and may not fair so well.
Some migratory timelords are more successful in blending in with their environments and with other species such as humans.
Like the poison dart frog and the nudibranc, bright colours are a warning sign: this animal may be too fabulous to consume.
I was going to my multiple mspainthero tags and came across this gem.
