It’s a sci fi convention, mostly Stargate and Doctor Who. It’s in Atlanta in late May. I already feel like an advertisement for agreeing to do this so I’m not gonna tell you to buy tickets or go anything but if you’re interested.
Okay, but Colin Baker is going to be four hours away from me in May, so I kind of HAVE to go to TimeGate, right? I mean I have to, right? It’s COLIN BAKER. I mean, I’ll hate myself if I don’t go, right?
YES, COME TO TIMEGATE.
There were lots of Twos and Jamies at Timegate. (well lots for such a small convention.) Yay!
Oh my, the third picture.
And what you’ve actually all been waiting for, just Kate.
Me and other cosplayers, miscillany in the game room, stalking Sasha, a dahhhhhhlek.
Just some of the exellent cosplays there!

pictures actually from timegate!
Me and Camille, sitting in the 50 years of Doctor Who panel with new friends and older ones, and a pleasant paradox.
TimeGate this rinky-dink sci-fi Stargate and Doctor Who convention I went to today with Rachel was actually a load of fun! I was sort of confused and intimidated at first when we arrived around ten since there seemed to be so few people there, but it was actually really great. I got a ton of stuff including a TARDIS lightswitch covering that I have been coveting for a while now and basically blew all my money. We played Apples to Apples and snuck into panels and found a surprising lack of New Who and Stargate and more Classic Who than I was expecting. There was a panel for Big Finish where Rachel attempted to hand out some of the fan art she’s done for stories to the people on the panel (holler holler holler to my Big Finish homies out there! (I mean basically Angelica)) and The Gameshow of Rassilon which was this great TV clip game and it was co-hosted by a Sixxey, and the banter between the two was just grand, and Rachel and I actually won! I met a famous fanfic writer named Sasha Katz who signed my sketchbook and Kate’s face which I will post pictures of soon or Rachel will and ran around asking people for words for MadLibs (I actually met a guy who had never played or even heard of MadLibs before; it was creepy). All I could really wish for is that I had a better cosplay because I personally think that I was the worse Second Doctor out of the three others that showed up which was pretty crazy since there was less people there for even other small events I’ve been to like Atlanta Anime Day, and that thing doesn’t even have panels, much less gameshows, or internationally watched guests. There was this just great Second Doctor there that I hid under my Tom Baker scarf and Kate’s Dinosaur Comics tee shirt in shame. What I really wish though is that more people knew about TimeGate and how great it is especially for anyone who shows interest in Classic Who and that they would get more people to come. As I said before, Atlanta Anime Day, which is actual an anime market place one-day event, has a bigger crowd than this, and they only rent out a section of the hotel they use and don’t have any panels or guests. I’m supposing it’s at the age or at least growth stage of SeishunCon, but it’s really lacking in signal boost at other cons I’ve been to in Atlanta, and I only heard of it because I searched up Georgia conventions online and some of the (okay most if not all) same people who ran and hosted the Doctor Who track at Dragon*Con ran and hosted panels at this. It’s a small convention right now, and they’ve also really been trying to bring a Doctor to the convention for the 50th anniversary for some time now, and I’m hoping that some other people who are interested or at least partake in other cons could spread some word about it because it’s really great now, but I think that if they could get even a mariginally bigger crowd, that would be great.
TL;DR I went to a convention today, and they had Doctor Who stuff including spin-offs and the classic series, and it was really fun, and a Sherlock draw a dick on Kate’s face.
Also, we won prizes such as Doctor Who comics and magazines, a dumpber sticker, a sonic screwdriver, and a gift card with nothing on it. The 25000 dollar pyramid of mars was just embarassing but hilarious with answers such as Morgan Freeman, Yertle the Turtle, and beep boop bee bop. And the questioners were pretty much on par with the people answering them… Me and Camille attempted to take over the Gameshow of Rassilon once I figured out how to raise my hand and proved my mother wrong about knowing way too much about Doctor Who. I should probably mention the Sixth Doctor we sat next to in the 25000 dollar pyramid of mars was highly entertained…and had this hideous hyena laugh-scream. He also hosted the gameshow of rassilon and yes, the banter was pretty hilarious between him and the announcer where we actually got several points because the Doctor cosplayer decided to take our side (a point for saying Tegan had teh worst hair in a fix with the sontarans, getting points added on and taken away by the two of them for sayign Sixxey was Camille’s favourite Doctor, a point because he felt like it..no, I actually did get some of the questions right, I think I got two for naming as many Masters as I could (6…or 7 if you count jacobi twice))

The anouncer at one point started simply awarding points to himself because he felt like it and began to tear up his card. I wish I had a video but seeing as it goes on all today as well, I should wait until later to look for other people’s posts. He asked the audience if they had any questions to add. I asked who liked Doctor Who and the whole room raised their hands to answer, except one lady, but she did like Doctor Who. “Oh, I was going to give you a point…well.”
I met loads of incredible cosplayers and cool people I’d love to see again at DragonCon and I’m definitely going to TimeGate next year. I spent ALL my money and it was pretty much worth it.

We got Christmas presents from Kate (wompi) and my mother ate all our good candy…
I won a comic for winning apples to apples which we played with sisters Camille and Cloe. I also sort of won another game where the objective was to make other people’s dragons crash off the board or into each other. I say sort of because I caused both me and the last guy to lose at the same time. I talked a lot, I always do at cons, very sociable. I traded one of my Yoohoos with one of the Second Doctors there for their sushi and most of the day I was just shocked I was there and having such a good time, so yes, I had a massive headache and my legs were killing me from all my walking and running (an attendent in Kroger said I was the most athletic shopper he’d ever seen when I ran in for yoohoo and bread. ACTION SCOT!) I gave away my Doctor Who fanart to the people on the Big Finish panel (which most of it was for Big Finish anyways soooo) and I think one I gave to other Rachel from writing club! Sasha gave me a cheesecake I ended up giving most to another girl dressed as dang I cannot remember the name, sort of looks like a furry troll dwarf thing animal… with 80s hair. I offered fruit to people and no one would accept my uh… hot black bananas… not my words… I also played mad libs with the whole room and well you know…mad libs are always fun at cons… you get err, interesting words like…fisting, homosexual, weenis….the deathzone on gallifrey.
Kate, the actor of Kate did her famous Kate gjinka cosplay and me and camille were one of the Doctor Jamie pairs there. The only bad things really about this whole event were no five-era cosplayers and no third doctor (WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN HILARIOUS TO GANG UP ON just saying). and of course that sutekh wouldn’t call on me… even after they suggested how they would pick contestants (jokingly) would be via hunger games, I whipped out my wooden sword and everyone said I would win) But yes, I had loads of fun. If you don’t like sci fi, stargate, or doctor who, don’t come, don’t have fun, don’t share adventures in cling.

Kirby and K-9 being dogs.

Jamie has the skillz.
Shall I mention how I saw only one Tenth Doctor and yet, four Second Doctors?
Nevermind, none of them knew how to play recorder. So, I giggled while playing the Titanic theme. The next time we cosplay Jamie and the Doctor, we still will not know how to play recorder.

Wow, that really really surpassed my expectations; I had an INCREDIBLE TIME.
I’m waiting for cumberbundsnatch to finish her summary of the day and I’ll just add onto it. I LOVE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING BUT MOSTLY DOCTOR WHO.
That’s where I am today! I’ll be Jamie. Ta
